Teaching the youth

Finished the summer program at The Goodman today. I teach teenagers. Many of them I have taught for multiple years. They put on a culminating performance last night, and today was a day of fun and reflecting. It was nice, and kinda sad. I really like teaching. Really like it. I learn every time I do it. I was blessed to work with a great group of kids this summer. Anyone who has anything negative to say about teenagers has not worked with the group of kids that I have worked with, or maybe they are great because I am working with them. That’s what it is. It’s me. It’s all about me.  I bring out the best in kids. I should run the Chicago Public School system. Man, if I were running CPS. If only. Yeah, they wouldn’t know shit about math and science and history, but man they would be great actors.
